Owen's 1st Birthday Parrrty

OWEN'S 1st BIRHTDAY PARRRTY...
I had good intentions on making cupcakes, Funfetti
Cupcakes to be exact, but ran into a shortage of
time.  Walmart here I come...perfect red and white
cupcakes to match the decor.  I had purchased
these cute pirate picks at TJ Maxx and had to use
them.

Had so much fun planning and decorating for my grandson Owen's 1st birthday.  It was decided
months ago that Pirate would be the theme.  Everyone knows I have a thing for Pirate parties, so this just made it more fun!  And as you can see Owen was the cutest pirate ever!!!

We were expecting over 50 people plus kids so
tables were set up in the "party" garage and backyard.
Owen's mom, Jen, made the cute flags we used for
centerpieces.
More Cupcakes...they are so cute!

Pinterest has definitely inspired a lot of my party decorating.
The pirate mast is one example.  I took ideas from several
pictures and came up with my version.

The calm before the storm...we're ready to party!

Pirate Mast...PVC pipe, tablecloth, twine, black spray paint, black
material and bucket of cement...if you want details just let me know.

The Cake...Owen's Grandma Mary makes the cutest and best cakes.

Mary never just makes one cake...she makes three.
The cutest Pirate cakes ever!!!

The Birthday Boy...just look at that Pirate face!

Sister and First Mate, Claire, just couldn't resist the sprinkles...

Cake number 3...Owen's very own cake with
one candle.

Owen with his birthday cake sitting in his
daddy's high chair...how cute is that!

Another view of that Pirate Cake...

Cousin and Matey, Reagan, came dressed
for the occasion.

Dessert Table...

Poppa Kevin couldn't resist getting
out his Jack Sparrow costume...
Walk the Plank, another Pinterest inspiration.
Owen loved it!!!

Close up of the cake...

Jen couldn't resist buying these chips
because of the striped package...
they matched perfectly.
Our centerpieces...our version of pirate suckers
with Jen's flags as seen on Pinterest.

Jen's favor bags for all the kids.
Jen made flags to hang in the kitchen and
decorate the "pirate ship".

Jen found these great "boats" to put the
food in.
Our vintage sailboat  made a great
"pirate ship" food buffet table.
Happy Birthday, Owen!!!

Birthday Parties are soooo much fun!!!

SWING ON BY FOR A PARTEE

Last weekend we celebrated Kory's 30th Birthday...the golf theme decorations by Jen, Kory's wife, were perfect for the ParTee.

Jen's mom, Mary, did it again...making a great "golf course" birthday cake.  Known for her beautiful cakes...we all look forward to see what she has "created" this time.
Jen's golf ball cake balls in three different flavors looked like the real thing sitting next to their tees.

Happy Birthday...Kory!!!

A "Surfin" Graduation Party

It's Graduation Time!  Time to plan those open houses...
I had the opportunity to help decorate at a friend son's grad party.
We used many of our props from the rental business to create
that "surfin" feeling  Hope that you will be inspired and get
some great ideas from this post.

Nothing like the tiki bar to give you that feeling that the beach and surf can't be far away.
